Installing PosWolf at a store
Follow these steps every time you onboard a new client.
Download and install PosWolf
Download the latest installer from the Downloads page. Run PosWolfSetup.exe on the client's Windows PC and follow the prompts. PosWolf works fully offline — no internet needed after activation.
Log in with the default admin account
On first launch, log in with the default credentials shown in the app. You will be prompted to set a new password — choose something you can hand over to the store owner later.
Configure store settings
Go to Settings → Store Information and fill in the store name, address, phone number, and currency. This appears on every receipt. Also set up the printer under Settings → Printer if needed.
Activate the license with your installer code
Go to Settings → Subscription and click Purchase License. Enter your installer code in the Installer Code field and click validate — you'll see a green confirmation. Select a plan, complete payment, and the license activates instantly at the discounted price.
Create the store owner's account
Go to Users → Add User. Create an Admin account for the store owner with their name and a temporary password. Enable Force password change on next login so they set their own password when they first sign in.
Add products and categories
Under Products, add the store's initial inventory — or show the owner how to do it themselves. You can also import products in bulk via CSV from the Products screen.
Hand over and sign out
Sign out of the default admin account. Give the store owner their new account credentials and walk them through the New Sale screen. Your job is done — the activation appears on your dashboard immediately.

Yes. After activation, PosWolf works completely offline. An internet connection is only needed during the initial license activation.
PosWolf runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit and 32-bit). It does not currently run on Mac or Linux.
